Your first time at Library

Registration for library card
You need your own library card when you borrow library's materials. Please follow the below.
can register for the library card things you need to bring
Residents of Chikusei,
Sakuragawa, Yuki, Shimotsuma,
Moka		 Indentification
e.g. Driver's license, Student's card, Insurance card(except passport)
People who work in Chikusei or study in Chikusei school Identification and things which identify that you work in Chikusei or study Chikusei school
e.g. Staff ID card, Student's card
Your library card can be used at all libraries in Chikusei(※your card expires in 3 years)
Library card is necessary
1.Borrowing and Reservation of library materials.
2.Using of Digital Library(only people who live or work or study in Chikusei can register for it)

We are also closed on Year-end and New year holiday, periods of special maintenance.

Borrow and Return

Borrowing
materials the limitation of borrowing materials borrowing term
Books, Kamishibai no limitation for 2 weeks
magazines up to 3 magazines for 2 weeks
DVDs up to 1 DVD for 2 week
CDs up to 4 CDs for 2 week
Videos no limitation for 2 week
Copied paintings(only Central branch has） up to 1 painting for 30days
Assigned books up to 1 book for 1 week
Reference or some local books, we offer you not to be able to borrow. Please use them only in the library.
Returning
You return the material at the library counter without your card. You can return whatever you borrowed from the Chikusei libraries.

The case of what we are closed, please return to put them into the drop-off box(only Central and Akeno branch have). However audio visual materials broken easily, you must return them at the counter.
